소망 그리고 바라봄

몸이 아무것도 할 수 없이 나약해져 있을 때에도 누워 있는 것 그것이 최대한의 에너지일 때도 볼 수 있었고, 바랄 수 있었다. 끊임없이 바라본 건 이 땅 저 너머의 - 자유로운 그곳, 낮은 담, 뚫려 있는 가까운 그곳. 가까이 있는 그것.

Hope and Staring

Even when my body was so weak that it could do nothing, even when lying down required maximum energy, I could see, and I could hope. What I constantly stared at was beyond this land—that free place, the low wall, the open, close place. That thing nearby.
